Bria's birthday was an awesome one. I let her plan out the day doing anything she wanted, and we had a blast.
She had school that day, so I brought in cake pops to her class for snack.
She loved being the center of attention with her birthday crown.
We gave her an easel, and after school she spent a good hour drawing pictures before she was ready for the next activity.
One time, probably 6 months ago, we went to a little shop near Sam's office called Wicked Waffle. A fun, tasty little place that has sandwiches, but the bread is waffles, and sweet waffles with berries and nutella. (Not a drop of syrup in the place!) Bria always begs to go to Wicked Waffle, so I thought this was the perfect opportunity. We picked up a couple waffles and took them to Sam's work, where he took a little break to eat them outside with us.
She wasn't my biggest fan that day, so this was all we could get outta her.
Dad was in much higher favor.
And there was plenty of running around and craziness after the waffles to burn off all that sugar. She just kept trying to catch birds. She really doesn't understand why birds won't fly over and land on her outstretched fingers. I, personally, am glad they won't.
And we finished off the night at home watching Alice in Wonderland for Bria's first time. The perfect way to turn four, in my opinion. And what Bria kept saying all day was, "look! my legs are longer, can you tell?!"
